Jang Dong Gun Stars in “The Warrior’s Way”

This movie is about a warrior named Yang who is ordered to kill the last member of an enemy clan–a baby. He refuses the mission and flees with the child to a small town. Despite his attempts, his enemies close in on him and he must fight to protect the child and his new-found comrades; Ron (Geoffrey Rush), the town drunk, and Lynne (Kate Bosworth), a knife-thrower in the circus, both who harbor dark secrets (synopsis courtesy of Wikipedia).

I would’ve been a bit more excited about it if Yang’s love interest was a sista, but alas, it is not to be. Kate Bosworth is physically as far from being a sista as snow is from being fire, but its all good. I would also prefer if more Asian actors were cast in movies that didn’t require him to perform martial arts. But, *sigh* baby steps…
