Tony Jaa Is The Man!

I know we love all Asian men and I wanted to bring your attention to this wonderful, talented Thai actor, Tony Jaa. You might remember his body, err face, in the action flick Ong Bak, which came out in 2003. This 35-year-old started out as a stunt man in movies like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation before starring in Ong Bak. He’s been trained in Taekwondo, Aikido, Ju-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Muay Boran, an ancient form of Muay Thai. As great as this man is, I was only able to find out a few bits of non-movie related information. He was born in Northeastern Thailand to elephant herders and that on May 28, 2010 he became a Buddhist monk. If you are interested in seeing more of him, here is a list of his movies that I was able to find on Netflix:

Ong Bak (2003)
The Bodyguard (2004)
The Protector (2005)
The Bodyguard 2 (2007)
Ong Bak 2 (2008)
Ong Bak 3 (2010)
He is currently filming The Protector 2 in Thailand.

Thai Actor Thanayong Wongtrakul

Nichkhun Horvejkul is not the only hottie that Thailand is packin’. Let me introduce Thanayong Wongtrakul, 41-year-old Thai actor with a purpose and a hot Asian guy worthy of coverage on this blog (and he’s actually probably older than all of us for a change!). It’s a shame that I was not able to find enough information on him, but I want to thank Sara for tipping me off. He starred alongside Korean hotstuff actor Won Bin in “The Man From Nowhere”, and you can bet your bottom dollar that with all that “talent”, this movie will be added to my Netflix queue with a quickness.

Enjoy the pics ^^

So Ji Sub’s Back With A New Movie Role

I am very pleased to hear this! I was ready for something new from him after “Rough Cut” and “Sophie’s Revenge” (which are both great, if you haven’t seen them!). According to hancinema.com, So Ji Sub has been cast to play the lead role opposite Song Il-gon in “Only You”, a romantic drama. Apparently, he will be playing a boxer, and Song Il-gon will be playing his love interest, who is going blind.

I know he’s the type that chooses roles carefully, so I know he’ll put all his best into it and show us what he’s working with.
