    • Bitofabelly81,

This really is so bad for people who booked flights and hotels for the event. I’m sure you will be seeing tons of “free tickets” for sale on Ebay by the end of today. I guess the tix distribution was a way to make sure things did not get out of control with people showing up, but it is unfair to alot of people who planned on coming from out of town. My family decided against this free concert but will flying in for SmTown NYC. I just have no desire to wait in line for hours for a first, come, first serve and no guarantee of even getting in the venue free show. Plus the fact that the top acts may only do a couple of songs each since the line-up is so big now, with all of the other acts. But for those that do get tix to the free concert and go, I hope that everyone has a great time.

  1. Wow, I was going until I saw that Jersey location. What happened to Randall’s Island? I’m so not trying to go all the way out there when I’m wholly unfamiliar with that state. Damn. This sucks.

  2. I’m going to head to Ktown tomorrow to pick up tickets. I’ll take photos and make a post when I get back to let everyone know what the overall scene was like.

  3. It didn’t surprise me that tickets would be included in this. In this case, the organizers did the right thing, though it should been announced at the beginning of it. I could just imagine what would have happened if they would have let them girls go in without it.

    • Ok. I didn’t get a ticket. Apparently the Cherry Hill store was only given 100 tickets. So the cut the line off at 50 due to people getting 2 tickets each. I was like number 70. I need a moment…….

      • Thanks AngelFace.. It seems the further the location from NYC, the less tickets they were given. So the line I was in had about 300 people when all was said and done. In all seriousness tho…. The Cherry Hill location only had 100 tickets. Does that even make sense? I will give props to the HMart employees that were trying to handle a situation that could have easily and did from what understand spin out of control. I left after the store passed out numbers so there’d be no confusion.

TBH… the organization and distribution left a really bad taste in my mouth. CJPNY was the event planner for this, but I’m thinking maybe that company was too small to handle it. There was no event person on hand at my location to explain or help the store employees. It was something. I’ve read comments and postings that some locations were giving people more than 2 tickets and now I’m seeing “scalpers” all over the place offering tickets anywhere from $100-350. Ridiculousness.

I’m now wishing I had the desire to sit thru SUJU, SNSD, and F(x) .

    Seli,

I have been hearing horror stories about the ticket distribution. My brother lives in Jersey and texted me that it was “madness”. Most places were sold out within a few minutes. Hopefully, they will make some additional tickets available because

Trust me, I don’t have the “desire” to sit through another SM Town concert but my daughter is such a fangirl, we are doing it as an early Christmas present. We are flying out with our 3 kids, my daughter’s best friend and my son’s cousin. My husband had the not-so-clever idea to get pit tickets, so we get to be in the midst of the madness with all the other crazy teenager girls; and having to deal with our 6 year old! Ugh!! Love him to death but what was he thinking? I’m just going to find myself a nice wall to lean on towards the back with our son and let the older ones “lose it”, as my daughter says that she plans on doing : ).

  5. So real quick if you failed to get tickets today you still have ONE MORE CHANCE.
-New York Cultural Center- 460 Park Ave #601, New York, NY 10022 (October 4th 11:00 A.M.)
I’ll probably be there since I was unable to go down to ktown and get them today.

    • Ima ask you KrisE… if you’re able to get an extra ticket…. Think about me. Please??

SN: AllKPop has been unudated with complaints about the ticket distibution. So much so that they made a statement about. The thing is, for the most part everyone understood that there was a limited amount of tickets. That’s a no brainer. The issue is the way they were distributed and the fact that they waited a few days before distribution to let everyone know what was going on. It was unproffesional and disorganized.

      • I’m going to reach out to some of my contacts today and see what I can do about a few extra tickets. I’m not sure how its gonna go but I’ll try..no promises though. I’ve got a full day today so I’ll update whenever I’m free.

  6. I will be there tomorrow KrisE.(also welcome to the site 🙂 ) What time do you plan on getting there? I need 3 tickets and I have no idea how I will be able to do that. If I was able to get 4 tickets, I will hold it for you Seli. I know you and me have beein waiting for this thing 4ever! I have a hotel room booked, but I feel bad for people who already got plane tickets from other states.

    • Ty ummm I’m actually going to get there around 9. A friend of mine said the line in ktown yesterday was around the block so I’m not going to take any chances. Its kills me how all this is just for SHINee and ONE song from B2ST. I suppose the thought of meeting a hot Korean guy while I’m there is a small driving force ^_^

      • this is for 2 songs by TVXQ and whatever Shinee sings. I will go anyway even if I don’t get a ticket. Hang around and listen to the music and enjoy all of the other things going on around.

      • I was thinking of getting there around 7am. You don’t think 9am will be too late. Since they are “supposed” to be distributed at 11am? I am trying to figure out the setup of this building as well. It seems it is on the 6th floor. What is the parking situation around it and stuff like that.

  7. I think even if I don’t get tickets I will still go and enjoy the day and stuff going on there. I read that you will still be able to hear the concert. Seli and KrisE. get back to me if you plan on going tomorrow morning. We can hold spots for each other.

    • That’s my plan so far lei. I can’t get off work tomorrow. The first thing I did this morning was assess the situation and it ain’t happening. So, I’ll probably still go and gorge myself on dukbokki and pray that I see Minho or Junho trying to blend into the crowd 😛

      • We should exchange contact info that way we could meet up or something. Ill listen to the concert outside the area.

One thing I thought was kind of interesting yesterday was the amount of tears the fangirls released when they announced they cuttoff. Sure I was and am upset that I didn’t get a ticket, but I don’t think it ever ocurred to me to bust out in tears and stat wailing like a relative died. I don’t know if its a maturity thing or an lack of emotional investment. I don’t know.

  8. Hello peolple , i live in colombia and i fly tomorrow to new york because my dream is go to the kpop concert but i don’t have tickets, if someone have one or two i pay for it , please please i buy it sen me a email if you have
    maria-chan0704@hotmail.com

  9. I can understand the crying actually. I mean think about it this way all of our idols and actors live 14 hours away in ANOTHER country. They barely travel here so when they are here its like O.M.G! I probably would cry if Kim Hyun Joong, Jae Joong, or Hyun Bin were here and I missed them. I might even throw something out of anger but thats just me haha

  10. I am not really rethinking going tomorrow. Was on facebook page and people are going to be camping out. If I knew what the chances were of getting tickets maybe, but I can’t camp out. I have done it though for Today Show concerts, but can’t this time around. Oh well.

    • It doesnt hurt to try. Besides I think 9 should be an ok time to get there and if the mission fails thats fine, at least you can walk away and know you were a real kpop fangirl for a day. It makes for great conversation and theres always spicy noodle soup for lunch after woooo!

  11. The thing is I have to travel up there and back again. If I can’t get tickets it will be a wasted trip. I would have to turn around and leave right after because I work tomorrow evening. How far you are you(KrisE) away?

  12. argghh!! I am torn. My 3rd party isn’t going, so now it is back to me and my sis. We have been gungho since day one. Still debating if I want to drive up 1st thing tomorrow morning navigate traffic and parking to try for 2 tickets. Having EZPass is a huge incentive. It will depend on what time I go to bed tonight. KrisE, I still think 9am is going to be too late. I suspect people camping out and them handing out vouchers again. If I go, I am trying for 7am.

    • Ok I just got home and actually settled down I was out all day since 9:30 this morning. Uhh I just checked facebook and really thought about this whole situation. Supposedly the center is only going to have 900 tickets avail. Also when you get to the festival ticket or not according the Korean Festival site you can be denied access to the concert area if they reach their max limit. On top of that seating begins at 4pm the concert starts around 6ish.
I feel like this is a serious hassle. There are wayyy to many levels of the “first come, first serve” deal to get past. So with that I’m out, I’de rather just pay to see SHINee then have to deal with all the madness.

      • KrisE,

I’ve been saying this all along, the whole free concert is just not worth the hassel. I could have gotten tickets from my brother-in-law but he told me a few weeks ago that the free concert is “much ado about nothing”. There are so many acts on the bill that the “headliners” are really not going to be performing much. People are going to be camping out for hours to get into this venue, with absolutely no guarantee of admittance. As much as my kids love K-Pop, I will not camp out for ANYONE. That’s just not my thing. I’ll be flying in for SM Town. Hope to see some of you guys there : ).

  13. I would have slept over for some tickets if our man Bi was going to be the giving a free concert here. I would take a chance with him, but I not for this one. My biggest draw was seeing Shinee, but so not worth getting killed over to see them perform 1 or 2 songs.

    • Lei,

If I did not see that with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. That is insane! Even when I was a teenager, I would never have camped out for anyone. It’s just crazy what people will do to see their idols.

  14. Ok. Ya’ll are not going to believe this. The concert stage is sitting dang near in the middle of the festival. So pretty much if you don’t have a ticket, you WILL still see the concert!
