I was thrilled to receive an email from a young Black lady named Jasmine last week telling me of her engagement to a talented Japanese bluesman named Takumi Suganuma. She even included pictures and I want to share them all with you! For those of you out there who are still skeptical, this is just more proof that healthy, happy unions between Black women and Asian men are not only possible, but real and happening everyday! This really made my day and I think it will make yours too. ^^

As I’ve mentioned in the past, my brother has a good friend from Myanmar whose been dating his sweetie fir a little over a year now. I’ve also seen them and it’s in my family. To all of those critics , yes they date and marry each other.If every other IR couple can be believed to be dating/marrying,so can AMBW couples.

Thank you guys so very much for all the wonderful and sweet comments! Takumi is such a wonderful super loving person! I feel very lucky to have someone who tells me multiple times a day how much he loves me and how beautiful I am! His family as well as mine are super excited for us as and our future together. I have to say never once was culture or tradition or anything like that a factor in our relationship and he actually persued me even though I had the biggest crush on him. He wanted to be with a black woman and decided many years ago that he would marry a black woman! So ladies they are out there and looking for us too! I hope that every one finds there own Bi or Takumi as well!

I am absolutely happy to see how happy the both of you are, and how BOTH FAMILIES are supportive of this union. It plays a big part in a marriage’s stability, it can make it much easier, cause when 2 people marry, 2 families unite to become one family, so harmony is always a huge blessing. I’m also pleased to hear that some AM completely embrace it when they have a preference for BW. I remember reading a story about a Chinese guy who knew he would marry a BW. When he introduced his woman (they’re now married) to his father, his father wasn’t even surprised, he already EXPECTED it!!! Anyway, God bless you and Takumi!!!!
There was a Laotian guy who I “talked” to in high school, for a quick minute, whose preference was also black girls. He also ended up marrying one from our same high school and they have a beautiful teenage girl. Even though I don’t really want kids, having one with a Asian male is so very tempting.
Hi everyone! Thank you for all the lovely comments! I can’t get enough of this site! Between all the Bi yumminess and the other posts it can be quite addicting! Takumi and I would love to incorporate both cultures into our wedding even though we do not have a date we both know we want something very small and intimate.We have even thought about possibly having two weddings one in the states and another in Japan. We are both so excited to marry both cultures into our lives together! He is teaching me japanese and kanji as well as my 3 yr. old little girl from a previous relationship. We both love to cook and has been teaching me some of of his favorite japanese comfort meals. Takumi has always been sort of a bad boy and not “traditional” in the japanese cultural sense he has always gone against the grain in many ways and took risks many japanese men would not take! He has dated many asian and japanese woman but knew he did not want to marry an asian woman and wanted to marry a black woman. He said he wanted someone who would give him a run for his money! Someone who would put him in his place when needed and was sassy! Well he definitely got it haha!!!

I know this Filipino guy who has dated nothing but black girls all his life. He’s a youngin’, a Junior in college and he has the cutest Blasian kid ever from a previous relationship. He’s all about the black females and is in a relationship with now. Hopefully for me, I can get me someone like Taemin oppa
